Every writer needs a second
set of eyes!
How often have you wished that you had a second set of eyes to look over your
e-book, article, web copy, or newsletter before you published it? We have all been warned
not to rely solely on our own proofreading abilities; we know we should always have someone with a fresh perspective
review our writing before publishing. However,
it's tough to accomplish this when you work alone or if your "significant other" is
growing weary of providing complimentary editing services. Unaware that there is another option, many people attempt to perform the final edit themselves,
and the results can be
disastrous!
Your potential clients read between the lines.
Many business owners choose to market their services or products via newsletters, articles,
and press releases
because they are FREE! There's nothing wrong with this―I
do the same thing. Since newsletters and articles are free to you (and to your
potential clients), you may not see the value in spending your hard-earned cash to have someone
else proofread them. But consider what an error-filled
article says about you and your services. Will potential clients or customers
question your attention to detail? What about your professionalism, your
commitment to quality, or your intelligence? You and I both know that a few
typos don't translate to a lack of professionalism, but how would your potential
clients interpret this?
Proofreading and editing services are more affordable than you
think!
You may assume that you can't afford proofreading or editing services, but
you're wrong! My rates are quite affordable and will easily fit into almost any
budget. For more information on proofreading/editing rates and billing policies,
please see my Rates page.
Free samples & estimates
Because each person has a unique writing style, it's difficult for me to
provide an estimate without first seeing your work. If you'd like an estimate,
simply email the rough draft of your
document to me, and I'll edit a small section (about
100-150 words) at no charge. This will allow me to provide an accurate estimate
and will give you a feeling for the quality of my
work before you turn over your project for proofreading and editing.
Why Accu-Assist?
So what qualifies me to edit your writing? Simply put, I
have an excellent command of the English language, and you will not find anyone
who pays greater attention to detail. I also understand the subtle differences
between words that sound or look alike, so I'll catch the mistakes that spell-checker
won't!
I'll let you in on a little secret . . .
I hate to admit it, but I am a perfectionist. While this can be problematic at
times, perfectionism is an ideal characteristic to look for in an editor! You can rest assured that I will put in the time and effort to ensure
that your writing is
always at its best!
